Double Duty

video

I love pieces that perform double duty, a skirt one day, a dress another. This cute, not so little black dress by Naughty from HOF more commonly known as House of Fraser has served me well. It styles to trend pretty easily, you can dress it up or down, sometimes I alter the length.... basically, it does what any LDB should do, it is a versatile fail-safe option for night or day.

The Street Chronicles : London girls and London boys

London girls are in full bloom! Bold and bright or sweet and feminine, floral motifs are what's rocking for our mamacitas. London lads however are doing laid back cool, keeping it slightly rugged, slightly dishevelled - bags are slung over shoulders, cigarettes are lit, hair tussled to perfection.

The outfit and the laid back look on Li's face just reminds me of a holiday in the sun. Not only do I love this ensemble - lipstick included, I just love that the furniture in this semi-pretentious London club matches the outfit!

Neon brights meets Hobo chic in this vibrant ensemble - a little festival, a lot floralious( did I just say that??)
I bumped into this buyer for Topshop in Selfridges one frantic Saturday morning whilst out wedding shopping with bezzie mate. Well anyways, she was like the fifth girl I had seen doing floral. Hers is a less delicate, a little more Liberty print-esq. Full-on Granny curtain fabulousity!
The red and yellow stripes punctuates the navy beautifully, I love that the yellow on the bag is picked up in the Adidas stripes, of course, he probably never thought about all this.
Paisley is an up-and-coming trend for fall at least for the ladies, not sure about the boys, but I love the flash of paisley at neck, cuffs and hem on my colleague here, teamed beautifully this earthy leather messenger bag.

Simple yet effective with hair to die for!

Loafers no socks, everything about this look works. It kinda reminds of, ok go along with me here, a modern '80s Yuppie (think Christine Bale in American Psycho) doing a kind of Shoreditch thing.

The Street Chronicles : London's burning

London is hot! It won't last long but whilst the sun shines London fashionista’s are making sartorial hay. From London Bridge to Bayswater, the fashion people are paying particular attention to detail - be it injecting colour with a contrast belt or matching your braces with your Chanel socks! the charm's entirely in the detail.

I love these two boys! I should have gotten their names - school girl error. They really do show just how diverse Peckham Rye is. I love the pulled togetherness of this look. A mix of Indie rock star meets Western cowboy. The Teddy boy tie, Americana inspired shirt with oversized studded buckle belt to boot, and then the guitar.... Some one stop him! He is too too much!
Gucci hat, belt, bag and trainers should be a fashion faux pas but somehow he manages to pull it off without looking like a Canal street escapee. Why is this?
Matching your socks with your braces isn't the most obvious pairing but it sooo works!
Legle is super hot! Not only is she a fellow writer, we have a similar shade of peroxide blond hair. Her colour pairing here, makes this simple tee and skirt jump right of the page. I love that she’s finished her look off with this retro-fabulous Adidas bag. Simple yet effective! with a B-Boy stance. Does it get much better than this?

Label Love

video

This really should have been the first post, it's a montage that kinda explains the whole concept of the site. For those that don't thrawl through the very many fashion blogs out here that celebrate the fashion whims and fancy of various bloggers. My video blog site might seem a little self indulgent or downright pointless. Thankfully I am not alone, the likes of Susie Bubble (whose style I love), Queen Michelle of Kingdom of Style (love love love) are just a few of the names that are rocking fashion world with their dose of daily wear. Well, I found away to put my love for labels (both big and small), music and photography together and have come up with a slightly different spin on an old concept. The equation is this: Style + Video + Blog = It's So Stylistic's Videoblog!

Color me Bad

video

I’ve had this top for some 8 years, it’s one of those things I’ve acquired through the course of my fashion life. When I got it I absolutely loved the contrasting pastels panels and pockets but as much as tried I couldn’t quite make it pop. Well! fashion and style has caught back up with this retro-delight and I have found numerous ways to colour myself bad in recent years, which proves the old adage - ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT (congratulatory self-pat for me) Now the question is ‘ will fashion ever to catch up with that silver foil hat???
Re: Colour spelt color- this is not an SP, as such, more a hazard of my job which requires me to use American spelling.
