FASHION FANTASY LIST!!!!!

In a conversation with NewFavouriteThing I asked what her Fashion Fantasy List would include. It wasn't a question I'd actually considered myself, it just came to me, but as she reeled off a ma-hoo-sive list I got more and more excited 'what if!?', 'can you imagine???' 'I would love...' We got into a fashion frenzy of the fierce proportions and therein this post was born.

I hope it makes you dream, it certainly made me.

Chanel 2.55

Dear fashion fairy,

I might be pushing my luck but I really can't have my Chanel 2.55 without a pair of matching boots!

- if you can't decide which one to give me I'll take both! thanks.

I desparately want to have my picture taken by the Sart - he makes everyone look beautiful! Knowing my luck I'll bump into him when I sporting my no-name joggers and £5 tank - hair uncombed *great*

The Sart himself - Scott Schuman. If you've been living under a rock for the last 3 years and yo haven't check out his blog stop reading and click here - but be sure to come back now you hear!

Anyone who knows me knows my love for the now sadly RIP polarid. So this next fanatasy may remain just, that but I'd love to take photographs and publish a coffee table book of all my very favorite fashion personalities, stylish celebs, scensters and interesting fashion behind-the-sceners.

Work on a shoot with aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (the heavens just opened then) David La Chapelle & wait for it...aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Annie Leibovitz. I’d happily do the tea but better
still I’d style the hell out of it.

David La Chapelle - genius

the preeminent Annie Leibovitz - the holy grail

To be fashion muse - wouldn't that be fun and flattering???

A fashion face off with Naomi, Grace and Lady GaGa
.
FIERCE!

Can you imagine a slumber party hosted by Tyra and the two Jay’s? Now that WOULD be fab!
Additional guests would include: Uber stylist; Edward Enninful (whose work I adore), Karl Lagerfeld, photog Terry Richardson, Katie Grand, Marc Jacobs (how much fun would he be, like, a lot!), Ashish (I met him and he's FAB!) Chanel Iman - love, and last but certainly not least the incredibly talented Ms Pat McGrath.

Backstage at Chanel
Most people want front row, I opt for backstage madness.

To acquire Versace's iconic safety pin dress and the lesser known 'waist of time' body con sheath dress.

YSL cage boots: The chrysler building of heels...I want, I want, I want!

Design a collection.

Attend the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala

with
HIM or HIM as my date

To indulge my fierce-footwear fetish

by investing in a jak and jil worthy shoe collection.

Lastly to somehow, someday, for whatever reason do my very own fashion movie montage featuring me in my very fav labels a la SATC, Pretty Woman.

So what's on your fashion fantasy list? Tell me I NEED to know!

TAG YOU'RE IT!

Oh my god, finally!! It was worth the wait, though, I have to admit. I got out of breath just reading that post! Can I please come to your fashion sleepover too? Maybe that's where we can film your fashion montage a la Pretty Woman.

Dammit, I wish I'd had that idea.

Great idea for a post...

Where to start...

I love those YSL caged boots too and I'm a bloke so...I want a bespoke loafer version made up please!!!

And while we're on bespoke I'll get my old Delhi neighbour Manish Arora to do some one-off menswear pieces for me. His womenswear really is out-of-this-world.

I'll have the next Balenciaga menswear collection in it's entirety (is that cheating???). Usually it's too understated for my look so I go for more Westwood and Galliano so I'd need the whole collection to mix and match...

Finally I'll design my own capsule collection for Dior Homme. Kris Van Asche has made such a pigs ear of it. He's really wrecked all Heidi's hard work and the brand's been completely devalued in the process. I'll ensure it's return to the height of cool by bringing it more in line with Galliano's Dior womenswear: more shape, more colour with sense, not gimmick, and above all a more developed sense of humour and play. It'll be such a success that I'll be asked to take over permanently...

Phew...feel tired just thinking about it!

Hey Man About World

Why not make a post of it and tag someone else? We can take it around the world!

What a fabulous idea for a post! Love the caged booties and the Chanel bag, of course.

Thanks for tagging me - here are some items on my Fall 2009 lust list:
- Prada thigh waders
- Balenciaga patterned dress
- Balmain blazer
- Rodarte dress
- Bottega Veneta bag
- Nicholas Kirkwood heels

So fun!
